Steps:

1.Add the roasted hazelnuts in a food processor and blend until you get a fine powder and then continue a bit more, so they start releasing their oils.

2.Continue with the rest of the ingredients, except the chocolate.

3.Stop the food processor and scrape the sides as needed.

4.Crumble the chocolate into a bowl and place it over a pot with boiling water, creating a bain-marie (the bowl shouldn't be touching the hot water!). Wait for the chocolate to melt and remove from the heat.

5.Alternatively, melt the chocolate in a microwave. Add the chocolate in a bowl, cover with clean film and add in the microwave for 30 seconds at 800w. Remove, check if it has melted, if not add for additional 30 seconds. Be careful not to burn the chocolate.

6.Add the melted chocolate in the food processor and blend until everything is incorporated.

7.Add the spread in a clean jar and enjoy it on bread (I tried it on wholewheat bread with cashew butter, some chocolate spread and nectarines - it was divine!), in your crepes, as a topping on your porridge or as a filling in your medjool dates along with a walnut!

Enjoy!

Notes:

*If your hazelnuts are not roasted, spread them in a baking sheet on an even layer and add in a preheated oven at 180°C for 5 minutes or until golden.

*Alternatively, you can also do it on a wide pan on medium heat. Again, keep an eye, not to burn them.

*If your hazelnuts have a skin, then after you roast them (if they are not already roasted), place them in a clean kitchen towel, cover them and rub them to remove the skins.

*Store the spread in a clean jar in your cupboard for up to 15 days. It might be hardened up after few days, but don't worry it's still fine, just stir it well and use it.
