Never Waste Bread Again: My Freezer Hack

Hello, fellow food lovers! Ever find yourself with half a delicious loaf of bread in the fridge, knowing you won't finish it before your next holiday or simply before it goes stale? It's a common dilemma, and the thought of tossing good food is never fun. But guess what? I've got a brilliant, simple solution that will change your kitchen habits for good: freeze it!

I recently fell in love with sourdough bread, and while it's absolutely delicious, even for just two of us, finishing a whole loaf before it gets a bit dry can be a challenge. Of course, stale bread has its charms – it makes incredible croutons for salads or soups. But let's be real, sometimes you don't have the time or the inclination to whip up croutons. That's where my go-to, no-fuss solution comes in: freezing! This way, you can enjoy perfectly fresh-tasting bread whenever the craving strikes.

The process couldn't be simpler:

Prep: I usually slice my bread (if it's not already pre-sliced) and then arrange the slices in a single layer inside reusable freezer bags. This ensures they freeze evenly and don't stick together.

Freeze: Pop those bags straight into your freezer.

Enjoy: Whenever you fancy a slice, just grab one (or two!) directly from the freezer and pop it straight into your toaster or oven for a couple of minutes.

Et voilà! In mere moments, you'll have warm, perfectly toasted bread that tastes almost as good as fresh. It's a game-changer for saving money and a powerful step towards significantly reducing food waste in your kitchen. Every slice saved is a win for your wallet and the planet!
