Hello again! Welcome to another blog post where we're tackling food waste in our kitchens, one step at a time! Today, I'll show you exactly what I do when I have ripe bananas. Of course, things would be much simpler if we always bought only what we needed, stuck to a grocery list, did our meal prep, and so on – and I do all of those things! But sometimes, life gets in the way, and you might not eat all the bananas you bought. Don't beat yourself up about it; I have a perfect solution for you!
So, yes, you could definitely make banana bread, which is a fantastic idea, or perhaps some oat and banana mini cookies. But, I'm talking about those busy days when you simply don't have time to bake. My go-to solution? Freeze them!!!
All you need to do is peel them, cut them into pieces, and then pop them into a reusable bag or container in the freezer. And just like that, you'll have frozen bananas ready to make all sorts of delicious smoothies.
I hope you found this blog post helpful, Nat x
