I had some dried hibiscus leaves sitting in my pantry and decided to transform them into the most aromatic, refreshing drink, perfect for cooling down at this time of year! Infused with warming cinnamon and cloves, this vibrant ruby elixir is more than just delicious. Hibiscus is naturally packed with antioxidants, known to support heart health, and great for digestion. It's the ultimate guilt-free, refreshing sip to keep in your fridge all summer long!
Ingredients:
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 3 cloves
- 2 limes
- 25g dried hibiscus leaves
- 50ml maple syrup
Serve with:
- Ice cubes
- Cinnamon stick
- Fresh mint leaves

Steps:
1.In a saucepan add 1L of water, the cinnamon sticks and cloves.
2.Juice the limes, keep the juice aside and add the lime shells inside the sauce pan.
3.Bring to boil, then lower the heat and simmer for 3-5 minutes.
4.Remove from the heat, add the hibiscus leaves and let them steep for 5-10 minutes.
5.Pass the it through a fine strainer, add the lime juice and maple syrup and mix to combine.
6.Add it into a clean bottle and place it in the fridge.
7.Once cold, serve with ice cubes, fresh mint leaves and an optional cinnamon stick.
